Behind the scenes on wedding day

I don’t love showing you because the photos don’t show the beauty, but they do bring some explanations, which are just as helpful as the magic is at times. Of course there is A LOT going on behind the scenes, this post is mainly focused on the set up. We are on Prismm, you can go there and find the general layout of the Rose House (it is on our to do list to update this layout for this app since a few things have changed, but it is still a very useful tool). We can also get together and discuss the layout, if we do that I will draw myself a very illegible drawing that will only make sense to me. We will use this guide before you arrive we do set up the bones of the celebration.

We will place the stage where you would like it along with tables and chairs, if your ceremony is at the Rose House we set up a divider, and all the chairs for that, we will not place chairs around the dinner tables until after the ceremony, at that time we will take down the curtains, spread out the tables, and use the ceremony chairs to go around the tables. I am happy to say this does flow very smoothly especially when there are a few groomsmen or other guys to lend a hand.

Here are some photos:

This is our arch which is available to rent, when it is rented, it is set up before you arrive.

This is looking at the ceremony set up from the ceremony location.

These are the tables behind the curtain on wedding day, they are decorated earlier, and then just arranged following the ceremony.

Here is the scene behind the curtain.

Here is the ceremony.

A glimpse at dinner with all the tables and chairs in their places.

This flip takes about 20 minutes and goes quickly. Usually at this time is the receiving line which we encourage to be outside if possible, by the time people have given you their well wishes and gotten their first drink at the bar we are all set.

And so you get a better perspective…here are a few photos from Solas and Kin, the photographers at this particular celebration. I don’t know about you, but I need to see the special moments. Unfortunately we don’t have photos from the dinner or dance, but that’s okay, we have plenty of those from other events we are happy to share if you would like to see them.
