January wedding joys

Hello! It’s hard to believe it, but we are well on our way into 2022. It turns out the groundhog saw his shadow last week, so perhaps he’s right and we will stay hidden under this bed of snow a little longer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves.

January 8th was our first wedding of the year. We were fortunate to celebrate with Christian and Annie. They are so sweet on each other, and just all around kind and easy going. They planned a winter wedding while attending school and working. And after all that they still had to roll with the punches, as you may guess, Christmas time led to more covid cases, which in turn led to some last minute cancellations to their guest list. But it all worked out. This may have been stressful, but as we would hope, on their wedding day, once they saw each other it wasn’t long before all the guests melted away, and you could see they were here out of love for each other and nothing else really mattered.

Unfortunately, once we get to work we don’t get a lot of time to capture photos or the day, but we did get a few shots before the wedding started and of the behind the scenes that we are happy to share with you. There was so much more, over time, once the photographer shares with us, we will be sure to share with you.

They celebrated the ceremony and reception at the Rose House, this was the ceremony set up.

A sweetheart table for just the two of them was on the stage. The wedding party sat with their families.

Decorations were organized through Sadie, who is so sweet and helpful. She is a part of the Rose House, we would be happy to get others in contact if they need this type of help.

This photo was still during some of the set up. As you can see, during the ceremony we had the tables to the side. Once the ceremony ended we placed them for dinner. To the Right was the guest book, gift area, nameplates for dinner, and cake.

A close up of the guest book and some sweet details, even the pens were special.

The cake was made by Zest, and looked beautiful and delicious.

Loved their signage.

Of course we had to stick to the theme of love! Chef Cat made a beautiful veggie tray for the cocktail hour.

Once the DJ arrived, he set up all this lovely uplighting. The DJ was “High Volume Entertainment” out of Wausau area. He was great.

An intimate ceremony.

plated dinner included the option of Salmon, stuffed chicken, and beef wellington. This is the Salmon.

Beef Wellington.

Stuffed chicken

A lot happened between dinner and this last photo at the end of night. There were toasts, music, dancing, and all around good cheer. But as the venue, we don’t usually get the camera out so much when that happens. We look forward to seeing the photos from Rheanna Lynn Photography, she’s amazing!

I was able to steal one photo of the happy couple at the end of the night. In my favorite photo corner.

That’s all for now folks. Thanks for tuning in :-)
