Intimate weddings

This COVID stuff is really making it hard for weddings! WHOA!

I am so sorry for all you brides who started the year planning your dream weddings only to now feel uncertainty about everything. The memories that will come from the struggle here, and strength that will come between couples who have to make these tough decisions at this point in your relationship will be encouraging in future years as your marriage grows. I know it’s hard to think that way in the moment, but I hope it’s encouraging to you no less.

I still want to encourage you to get married this year if that was your plan. I personally have been married 21 years this year, and for our anniversary, we celebrate just the two of us. We have plans to go camping. When we look back over the years, we don’t even think too much about the actual day we were married. It’s more about all we have been through and how much we love to be together. We were married on June 16, 1999, to me, it’s a cool date at the turn of the century! The memory of our wedding being small and intimate, with few guests is not what really matters. And over time, when my future relatives are looking over the geneology, they won’t know who was there. They will see it as a date in the history books when something new began. As I mentioned, my wedding was small and intimate in 1999, so I am partial and will always love the small gatherings, if that doesn’t fit for you, it’s okay. There is no obligation to listen to me. If you do plan a small wedding this year, and regret it, you can always renew your vows in the future, there is always an excuse for a party.

In thinking of small weddings we have put together a package we would love to share with you. Especially with COVID you may not have the motivation to plan, we were thinking about that and have talked with some of our friends in the industry to put together an intimate wedding package that I want you to know about.

As you can see by our promo, it includes rental for up to 50 guests, the officiant, simple decor and set up, three hours of use of the Rose Hall, your bouquet and boutonniere, two hours of photography, and a cake. Of course you can always add to it, we could provide appetizers, and the space could be rented for longer. Or there could be more flowers or decor. But this is just a good starting point and we went to share it.

The things we love about the package-we love working with our friends and we know their work is quality work. And our space really lends itself well to an intimate wedding so we know you will feel comfortable. We can’t provide this package too far in advance, it must be within 60 days.

In thinking about this package we did have fun staging our gift shop for a small ceremony. This would be even smaller than 50 people. The arch is a rented through Soiree Rentals, and just so perfect for the space. It really was fun to stage. We can do this for your events anytime :-)

We wish you well in your planning. It’s worth persevering. Even though this pandemic is awful, we are hoping for good to come through it for all.
