We just hosted our second murder mystery and had a blast! It’s so much fun we plan to do it again in Spring. We did this mystery twice. It was called Murder at the Juice Joint. It took place in the 1920s when Rosie (The juice joint owner) reopens the joint after her husband passes away. The two rival mafia leaders, and many patrons, flappers, the mayor, the police, a bootlegger, and several others come to the grand reopening. While they are there, an incident occurs. And then a lot of fingers point and evidence is gathered. Everyone who attends, is playing a role. Everyone knows a little bit of something. Everyone does a little detective work, asks each other questions and in the end they guess who did it! There was a photo booth, prizes for the best actors, for solving the murder, for dressing up, and for who has the most money in the end.
Both times we played the crowed was totally different. There was tons of mingling, so much acting, dress up, and fun! When we do it again we are doing a different mystery, “Till Death do us Part” which is murder at a wedding. We certainly hope that never happens at a real Rose House wedding, but it will be a fun game. And only a game!
Here are some photos from the first time we played. The second time we did the event was just on Friday so the photos haven’t ventured too far from the camera quite yet.
Special Thanks to Breakpoint Escape Rooms for sponsoring our event. They were a pleasure to work with!
