Thursday nights are our night at the Rose House. Weekends are dedicated to private events, but on Thursdays we look forward to hosting our own events. We are hoping this becomes your regular place for a date night.
So we are kicking it off on Sept 12 with a wine tasting. We are very excited for the wineries that are joining us. We have Half Moon Hill out of Hamburg, Rushford Meadery and Wine out of Omro, Sunset Point Winery out of Stevens Point, a new winery called Moondancer out of of Auburndale, and a local cider that I just learned exists in Stevens Point, Upstream Cider.
If you have never heard of these, or if you have and you want to know what’s new with them, please plan to attend! Tickets are $12 and include up to 8 tastings of the wines of your choice. If you would like to sample more than that you can always purchase additional tickets or a glass at our bar. Not only will you be sampling wine, but you can also purchase it by the bottle to take home if the winery permits. (This is next week! Be sure to purchase you tickets today- at the door tickets will be $15).
Because that is the first of our Thursday night events it feels like the other ones are being slightly neglected, but they are just as important and exciting.
Thursday Sept 19th will be an art show. We have an artist from Nicaragua, Johnny who is coming to work on the Sculpture for the Cultural Commons, he will be at the show as well as myself (Rosalind) and a handful of other local artists. The show is free to the public, we would love your support!
Sept 26 we hope to be doing a farm to table dinner, we are planning on Roast beef from Oak knolls farm out of Almond, Potatoes from the Buhrs Bounty, and veggies. More info to come as we iron out the details.
Oct 3rd a second Farm to table that we are partnering with the Market on Strongs to put together.
Oct 10th Old Time Brass will be playing here and we’ll have our own little mini German Fest
Oct 17th “Guy Ev Ski” a jazz quartet, we’ll have food and beverages along with that.
Oct 24th we are planning on a murder mystery dinner, but that is still in the works.
Then on Halloween, we will just be open, Halloween is enough of a thing with or without us.
So, join us when you can! We would love it!
