Our first event!

We hosted our first event and it was a blast! So far we have spent a majority of the time just getting to know the space and the surroundings. But now that we have a little bit of a grip we have started to move forward.

Last July I watched an online course about preparing a “Santa Experience” as a photographer. At the moment it sounded like a fun idea but one that I didn’t know if I would be able to put together this year. Then just after Thanksgiving all the pieces just magically fell together. I was hired by a Santa to take professional photos so he could promote himself. So with the space and Santa, everything else just happened. Journey Eleven, a wedding rental company shared their lovely couch with us. We decorated the smaller meeting space and promoted on facebook. We will certainly do this again next year and are happy to say it was a success.

And of course we must share at least one photo with the children, they are who it’s all about!

It was a wonderful first event to keep us excited for what’s to come next.

As of last week we began the demolition in the main room in preparation for the official event hall. Pictures to come :-)

Thanks for reading!
