We have been having a lot of fun making our own events as well as hosting your events. We have a few upcoming events we thought we should take a minute to share with you!
The first one is actually on Monday. A pop up Freedom Cafe, more of a “Thank you for our Freedom” Cafe. Veterans will receive a free coffee donated by FallLine Outfitters, and a cookie. Jojo’s bakery will be selling scones and other scrumptious goodies as well. This event is from 9-noon. we are moving our location to the gift shop area of the Rose House instead of the Belmont Room where we had the cafe last January. You will still find us. We are looking forward to it.
This Thursday we are doing a Harvest Turkey dinner, you are invited anytime after 5:30. Tickets include Local Turkey from Oak knolls Farm in Almond, as well as local potatoes from Buhr’s Bounty in Hatley. We are also serving veggies, bread, stuffing, and of course pumpkin pie. Along with the delicious food we have the CWSO scholarship string quartet playing for us from 6-8pm. Tickets are $24 and available online or you can pay at the door. Letting us know in advance will help guarantee we have enough, so if you don’t mind, that would be great! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/77642505825
The following Thursday, Nov 21 is Inclusive Arts Night. This event has been organized by Learn and Love It Dance Classes. Light appetizers are included in this Open House which goes from 5-8pm, featuring artists with and without disabilities. A live dance performance at 6pm will showcase dancers from Point Dance Ensemble and UW-Stevens Point Dance Program. You won’t want to miss seeing “Laura’s Dance” which was choreographed by a student with disabilities. The ARTS for ALL Wisconsin choir from Wisconsin Rapids will be singing at 7pm. Meanwhile visual art, brought to you by ARTS for ALL Wisconsin, will be on display. The visual art is also part of a silent auction that is currently open online at www.32auctions.com/inclusivearts. The silent auction will continue live on the day of the event. A cover charge of $20/adult and $10/student benefits Point Dance Ensemble and ARTS for ALL Wisconsin who have collaborated in the past to bring inclusive opportunities to children with disabilities in our area. Dinner and drinks will also be available for purchase. ARTS for ALL Wisconsin’s mission is to expand the capabilities, confidence, and quality of life for children and adults with disabilities by providing programs in dance, drama, creative writing, music, and visual art. The mission of Point Dance Ensemble is to promote the art of dance in the Central Wisconsin area through educational workshops, performances, and other artistic opportunities. We hope you can join us for this inspiring evening.
Small business Saturday we will have our gift shop open from 9-4pm, lunch available by Dilly Dahl Deli, and a wreath making class by Jessica Tomaszewski. More info to come soon on the class.
If you are unavailable to join the first wreath making class there is a second one by Inspired By Nature of Wausau. December 5th. You are invited to get crafty and create + decorate your very own wreath - just in time for Christmas decorating before the rush!
We are changing things up this year by working with a wreath form base and crimping tools to create our own mixed Wisconsin-grown evergreen wreaths. These will be even fresher and fluffier than years past and the experience of knowing how to make these wreaths is even more satisfying.
Wreath forms, greens, 'Wreath Bar' assortment of picks/ribbons/ornaments, tools included. Complimentary beverage + light apps along with a staffed bar and kitchen to order dinner if desired. Bring your friends for a fun experience!
Lastly for the year we have Santa Photos with Dekaios Designs! These sessions are “Santa Experience Sessions” Your child or children receive 15/20 minutes with Santa. The photos are a bit more candid and unique. This is on December 7th from 9-2pm, please contact us to set up an appointment. Sessions include one digital image with a release and are $65.
There are a few more possible events available to the public for 2019, but none for sure. Stay tuned to be in the know :-) We do still have space for Christmas Parties if you are interested, but it is filling up fast, so contact us soon.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Thanks,
Rosalind
